The fact that both machines will have icons showing that they've
published the collection shouldn't hurt anything.
I'd go with restore shares. You can multi-select collections to
restore, but then the order of collections restored is random, so if you
care about the order of collection in your sidebar (I do) you'll want to
restore one by one. I'm looking forward to being able to re-order my
sidebar at some point...

Andi gave one way to change this, another way would be to edit your
Windows shortcut to Chandler and append this to the end of the target:
--profileDir=\path\to\profile
You can have several Chandler's running simultaneously this way, which
we frequently use for testing.
