This has been bugging me, too.  I always want to see full names, not
email addresses, if the full name is available.

Some time soon hopefully we'll have a more complete contacts system in
Chandler.  In the mean time, it'd be nice to at least display users more
consistently.

On Desktop, if I create an item, the information that describes who
edited it will include my full name.  Unfortunately, once I've shared
the item to Hub, the full name disappears (both when viewed on Hub and
when subscribed to from other Desktop clients) because the sharing layer
doesn't include full names.

I think Andrew's desired behavior (and mine) could be achieved quite
easily, so I started a thread to talk about implementing that on the
chandler-dev list:
