Mitch,

The weird thing about browsers is that developers don't have access  
to the system timezone, but only the offset from GMT for a given date  
for the system timezone.

The upshot of this is that even though your computer maybe set to  
PDT, Chandler Hub UI has no (reliable) way of knowing this, hence  
lots of redundant information.

Once we put in more robust timezone support in the UI - like the  
ability to switch your viewing timezone - we will make sure to  
address this issue.
