Yesterday I watched someone use Chandler for the first time. This was
also first time she used a calendar program.

I tried to explain as little as possible, but I did point out the
sidebar and explained each entry there is a collection. I also explained
the all, mail, tasks and calendar buttons. She stayed almost exclusively
in the calendar view.

Here are the notes I jotted down from the short session:

* She had trouble finding how to go to the next week. She was expecting
a right arrow in top right of the calendar view.

* She was wondering why there was no 0/12 hour numbers in the left of
the calendar view (it goes from 1-12, 1-11).

* She had trouble noticing the current day in the week view. Due to the
monitor settings, the today shading was extremely difficult to see. She
was expecting something to distinguish today in the header, maybe bolded
or underlined text or something.

* She had trouble figuring out how to create an event in the calendar
view. She clicked once, which shaded the area, but due to the monitor
settings she didn't see the shading until I pointed it out to her. She
started typing and *I* was surprised to note that an event was created.
I had to tell her that double clicking would also create an event.

* When she wanted to delete events she had trouble seeing which event
was selected. Finally she right clicked on an event and got the context
menu. She did not know the difference between remove and delete, and
used first one, then the other, without seeing any difference in behavior.

* On several occasions she accidentally moved an event. I am not totally
sure why this happened, but my guess is that she clicked and moved the
mouse so fast that Chandler was lagging behind a little and the end
result was an unexpected move.

* She thought the busybars were useless in the minicalendar. (She had
noticed them herself, but did not know what they were. Once I explained,
she couldn't find a use for them).

* She needs a month view.
