This feels meaningless, with the added negative that makes one wonder if
  Chandler itself is equally terse and doesn't use language like it should.

Sort of neutral to me.

I like both of these, although there is a minor caveat: they both (the
latter more than the former) make me wonder if this is marketing speak
for covering missing features.
