Hi Andre,
To tell you the truth, a lot of OSAF developers don't use the debug
builds, so you're kind of on the bleeding edge using them, you see C++
asserts many of us don't see.
That's really great for us, you help us find lots of bugs, but if the
balance between "hey, cool, this is useful" and "argh, here's another
opportunity to help fix Chandler's bugs" tends towards frustration,
that's certainly not what we want.
As it happens, Chandler's snappier if you don't use the debug builds.
If you want you can run the release builds of Chandler and still see
Python asserts, that's what I do.
