I think this sounds OK.  The server would need two additional features 
which include the ability to publish a single item (protocol layer) and 
the ability to view/update single item(ui layer).  Everything in morse 
code is collection oriented so we could either implement item sharing as 
sharing a collection with a single item (easier to implement), or add 
item level support in morse code.
