[Chandler-dev] [Sum] The Great Architecture Discussion of 2007

Hi Andi,

We've had to do a lot of rewriting/refactoring on Chandler as we figured
out what we wanted and learned along the way. For example, the sharing
layer has been rewritten several times, and now we have something we're
pretty happy with. Most of my original code has been rewritten away. :)
I don't think it means the original work was in vain.

That said, I can understand having the emotional reaction of not wanting
to work on this refactoring project for personal reasons. As you have
many talents we can put you on other projects.

I think you can be proud of the role you've played in the project so far
-- you stepped in under a cloud of (nearly) impossible requirements
for the original repository and made it work and moved the project
forward. Yay! The repository got us to Preview, that is a huge
accomplishment. Chandler desktop is now one of the 4 applications I use
all day every day. (The others being Thunderbird, Firefox and Adium).

Cheers,
Katie
