Step 3 : Backup your non-shared collections
1. Select the non-shared collection in the sidebar and go to File >>  
Export
2. This pops a dialog to save the collection as ics file.
Note: Exporting the collection in ics format only supports event and  
task data. So any mail data might be lost.

After launching the new Chandler Desktop application and restoring  
your settings

Step 6:  Restoring non-shared collections
1. Go to File >> Import
2. Select the ics file saved in step #3 above
3. This should restore the collection in the sidebar
