[Chandler-dev] Stamping recurring events as tasks

Hi, Is it "safe" to stamp instances of a recurring event as tasks? That
is, does this basically work without issue? Has the dust settled on
recurring events? (I guess those are two different questions.)

Here's my simple scenario: I have a collection of birthdays, all are
anytime yearly recurring events with alarms. When an alarm goes off some
days before the birthday, my inclination is to drag-and-drop the
upcoming instance into another collection (where most of "my" tasks
reside) and then stamp this instance as a task. The point being to
remind me to make a phone call or send a card or something.
