Just to add my 0.02 Euros here :)
- The French word for "email" is "courriel". Though not super popular in
street linguo, it's the term used by Mail.app for instance in the French
translation so that's the work I used in Chandler
- When localizing Chandler in French, I translated "Dashboard" in
"Tableau de bord" which has the same multi morphic capabilities as its
English counterpart. To be honest, I don't think I could leave
"Dashboard" in the UI as is it really doesn't evoke anything into the
mind of a French speaking user...
So, even if the swede feel that "Dashboard" is ok in Swedish, I'd vote
to leave that string translatable and let localizers use the same or a
different one.
I agree though that proper names like "Chandler" or "OSAF" should not be
changed as well as "Hub" as is part of the URL name of our internet service.
Cheers,
- Philippe
