[Chandler-dev] Chandler Localization String Code Freeze

Hi,

Following up on Brian's email and in preparation of this String Freeze 
date, I worked on a list of the currently open bugs that do need to be 
fixed *before* that date. This list is limited to strings that are 
actually going through the translation mechanism. So this  excludes 
stuff like readme.txt, relnotes, some html files and changes in comments 
that have been logged here and there.

Existing dialogs or strings that need to be updated/changed:
- 9166    P3    pbossut    [havefix]    Warning dialog on reading repo 
from another platform has outdated menu references (reviewed by PPD, 
just waiting for the tree to turn green to commit)
- 8570    P1    sheila        Welcome note text for Preview release 
(this is a big one and *must* be done before July 9th otherwise, 
localizers will be translating something really outdated)
- 9009    P1    mimi    Improve migration pop-up on app start-up (I 
think Mimi has some new strings in mind to add to the dialog)
- 8961    P3    reid    Email Outgoing aftermath: the current UI is 
deficient (same as above)
- 5485    P3    grant    Dialog for Removing a recurring event from a 
collection thinks I'm deleting (if we decide the fix involves modifying 
the dialog...)
- 9380    P3    capps   Refine/Streamline tooltip for Quick Item Entry 
field in toolbar (this change could be done in the en_US po after July 
9th...)
- 9538    P3    mimi    Review tooltips (same as above, we wouldn't be 
able to *add* tooltips though after July 9th)


Missing dialogs, strings that needs to be created as part of fixes: for 
all of those bugs, strings must be created. If done after July 9th, 
international users will see English dialogs instead of localized ones:
- 6073    P3    pbossut        Forward compatibility : user should be 
prompted instead of letting Chandler crash
- 7447    P3    pbossut       Export events needs a warning dialog if 
destination file already exists
- 9111    P3    reid   Update button should turn into Updated after 
sending Update
- 9187    P3    capps    Add Unsubscribe from Published shares to 
Tools>>Sharing menu
- 9560    P3    capps    Add mark as read menu

That's a nice bundle of bugs... If any of those are assigned to you, 
it's time to bug bash between now and Monday...
