Wow, I'd *completely* forgotten this. Would have been easy money if
someone had bet me on this :)

Anyway, the fix for that bug was to run without -O if only one mode
(release or debug) was being tested, otherwise use -O for release only.
Seems like the fix should be ported to rt now. I can do that tomorrow.
