I find it really awkward about Firefox's search box that I have to switch 
engines with a mouse through the dropdown, and as a result never change 
the engine from Google. (Maybe this is also to a large extent because it 
is the only really useful engine that comes pre-installed. :-)

I like this idea. All-keyboard entry is really important for a smooth 
workflow.
