Hi Folks,

A little more on bequeatheTo:

The "bequeatheTo" idea came (at least in part) out of a long
conversation Andi and I had some months ago on IRC.  I'd been thinking
of it as a potential performance work around for issues we have with
indexing new union collections (these happen when, say, you overlay two
calendars) when the index involves other items.

The issue with filterCollections is (in my, admittedly vague, memory) a
separate, but important problem that's going to be fixed soon, as Grant
mentioned.

Happily, Andi and I have been discussing a sub-index feature which ought
to help us avoid re-indexing unnecessarily.  Hopefully that will prove
to be a big performance win and will make the bequeatheTo concept
unnecessary.
