[Chandler-dev] [lastcall] background sync to land in the trunk tomorrow morning

I had a conversation with Morgen and Andi this afternoon, and they plan 
on merging background sync into the trunk tomorrow morning (Tuesday, 
June 13).

Although Morgen and Andi have done a lot of testing and fixing of bugs, 
this is a big change and will make the trunk less stable for a while. 
We're making the switch now so more folks can help find and fix bugs. As 
Morgen noted earlier, shared-item-stamping doesn't yet work.

The trunk may be difficult to dogfood for a while, so bear with us (and 
help find bugs!).
