[Chandler-dev] Alpha3 status

Hi,

The Bug Council met this afternoon. We still do not have an RC but are 
only 1 blocking bug away from it (6266). If thigs go well, we may 
produce an RC *tomorrow Tuesday 25th*. The Bug Council will meet again 
tomorrow afternoon @ 4pm to evaluate the status of the outstanding work 
items.

We also have some actions to complete some other bugs. Here's a summary 
of what needs to be done from a code standpoint (I took all doc and non 
code issues out).

One critical bug still needing some investigation: Dan is owning that 
one for the moment, trying to repro the issue:
- 6266    Newly created events not showing up on calendar canvas

We reopened one vobject issue that has been somewhat not fixed 
completely either in the branch or the trunk:
- 6178 Raise while trying to serialize an "all-day" recurring EXDATE
- 6388  Update makefile to get vobject 6178 fix in

We also have 3 bugs for which we have patches already committed in the 
trunk: those bugs need to have a patch attached to, a positive code 
review being done (if you're a reviewer, think regression risk that the 
patch may present) and a final commit in the alpha3 branch:
- 6174    Modify occurrence to all-day causes sharing error
- 6271    Add platform identifier to the About Chandler box
- 6383    Can't exit Chandler: repository error

One feature that we'd like to see in if it makes it on time though it's 
not blocking: Reid is still working on this and hit a Cocoa snag on Mac 
today.
- 5906    Need a Search text field in the toolbar
