Where is the focus?

When I do the same as above but instead of clicking on the new 
collection I click on "My calendar" the view changes to that collection 
- that means focus has shifted.  I would expect the delete action to 
delete whatever has focus.  Also, the whole delete menu is disabled so 
even the menus know that focus has changed.
