Hi Robin,

Following the landing of tarball 88 and the slew of bugs you fixed
(wohoo!), I went on the Wiki and updated that page:
    http://wiki.osafoundation.org/bin/view/Projects/WxPythonProject

I think it's basically up to date now. Some thoughts I had doing this work:
    - I think you (Robin) should be the owner of that page: I do not
know enough of what's going on with the wx project and there's a lot in
there that's directly dependent on wx
    - I think the big work item matrix in there is useless: it would be
better IMO to add the missing tasks in Bugzilla and point that page to a
good Bugzilla query. Bugzilla is more likely to be correct and
maintaining this table is basically doing double work.

I also read (but did not edited) the Chandler wx roadmap:
    http://wiki.osafoundation.org/bin/view/Projects/ChandlerWxRoadmap

I feel this needs a serious update. Most of the i18n stuff mentioned in
there are no longer issues or have been fixed. The rest (ISDL and wxTNG)
is still up in the air...

Concerning wxTNG, I read the wx Wiki pretty thoroughly:
    http://www.wxwidgets.org/wiki/index.php/Development:_wxWidgets_3

Except for the Binding page (of which you're the principal author), it's
difficult to understand the *rationale* for wxTNG beyond a vague feeling
that the API is inadequate. Well, if I was coding with it daily I may
have a strong opinion on this certainly, however, as a user of an
application, I can't really rely to what's in there. I have daily
frustration with the wx GUI I use still, I see none of this echoed in
the wxTNG plan. e.g.: Will it improve the look and feel of wxWidgets
based applications? Will it for instance support transparency of UI
elements everywhere? Will it have an improved layout model? Will it
support Cocoa sheets and drawers (for instance)? Will improving it or
extending it be made easier? It's strange to see none of those issues
even discussed there. Am I missing something?

Well, now that the most important UI elements and infrastructure landed
(thanks to you), we need to start thinking about where we want to go
with our wx effort in Chandler. I'd really like to hear your (and
others) opinion on this.

Cheers,
- Philippe
