If it was 0.7alpha1 or 2 I would probably agree - but alpha3 has a 
number of key features, one of which is that we moved to Ubuntu for the 
linux builds so that means it runs much better on the newer Linux 
distros.  There is also a number of other app features that deal with 
calendars and sharing I think you will like - it's all spelled out at 
the chandler.osafoundation.org site.

hehehe - quite a few of the OSAF team also have similar requirements so 
if you have any setup questions just ask.

yep - that's the culprit.  The newer GNU tar seems to be the one that 
is finicky about exclude option placement (or they finally made it 
right :)
