But I understand that SWIG v1.3.29 *is* responsible for some new issues.

It's good to have the testing done: thanks to all who filed bugs.
Robin's grid update is already committed, albeit after tarball 39

This plan (rolling back to 36 + wxGrid) would leave out a large number
of important fixes.
