No, I was running this on a Debian (under VMWare) and there have been no
such problems in any other configurations, and the repositories have
always been created on that machine.

However, this may have been due to old repositories. I scrubbed
~/.chandler dir, and now the same Chandler launches fine from the IDE
and command line and uses the same repository without problem.

Anyway, now that I got that far I noticed that the IDE detaches itself
from the Chandler being debugged at some point during startup so Eric3
won't help in debugging Chandler either. And the speed seemed to be
slower than Wing and Komodo, although Eric3 is the only one I am running
under VMWare.
