[Dev] Linux flavors to support for 0.6 and forward?

Since we are early in the 0.6 cycle, now is a good time to make big
changes. For example, upgrading major libraries, but I also think we
should make an attempt at finalizing our Linux strategy.

Our currently supported Linux flavor is Fedora Core 2, while FC4 is just
about to come out.

I believe this time around we should do more of a market driven
approach. Which Linux flavors are used most, and where do we see the
future taking them? How can we determine this?

Another issue is that due to wxPython issues it seems hard to do builds
on one flavor of Linux and have them work on others. This is an issue we
should solve as well, to avoid needing to build on many different flavors.
