ZODB replication is alive in the ZRS ("Zope Replication Server")
technology which is a commercial application sold by Zope
It is more geared towards synchronization of data when there are
intermittent network dropouts or server crashes than it is for
ad-hoc offline-online synchronization, however, as it is a "standby
storage" system (secondary takes over for primary when primary
I realize this isn't terribly helpful in the context of Chandler
being a completely open source product. But is is possible (though
expensive time-wise) to create a ZODB synchronization system that
can take into account ad-hoc connections and disconnections.
